EMERGENCY SERVICES

112 is the general emergency number in Malta. You can call this number for severe mental health crises.

Alternatively, the Accident and Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital in Msida offers a 24h psychiatric emergency service. One can self-refer to the A&E department or be referred by a doctor.


CALL SERVICES
in Malta

1579 - 24h national mental health helpline manned by psychology professionals offering free emotional support, advice and guidance.

1770 - Richmond Foundation’s helpline manned by professionals offering emotional support and practical guidance (8 am to 8pm Monday to Friday, Saturday till 4pm) .

179 - 24h helpline manned by Aġenzija Appoġġ with the goal of providing immediate and unbiased help to those seeking information, support, and/or a referral to social service agencies.


CHAT SERVICES
in Malta

OLLI.chat and Kellimni.com are two online chatting platforms that offer psychological support. OLLI is manned by Richmond and follows the same hours as their helpline while Kellimni is 24h.
